About This Project

Bhutan Jakar – Kurjey Lhakhang Tsechu

Kur (body), jey (print), lha (God), khang (house), Kurjey Lhakhang is the temple of the body and one of the most sacred monasteries in Bhutan. It holds the body print of Guru Rinpoche himself. Built in 1652 by Trongsa Penlop, it also is a standing tribute to authentic ancient architecture of the region.
